We know when it feels wrong. We just choose to push those intelligent thoughts underneath the ones we WANT to feel.

We claim to want forever but in reality all we really desire is instant gratification.

Someone to tell us we are beautiful. RIGHT THIS SECOND.

Someone to make us feel wanted. IN THIS VERY MOMENT.

We are in denial. We see the signs. We feel the vibes. We sense the danger in the air.

We are completely aware of the ramifications.

We just want to feel what we are feeling and not worry about the WHAT IF’s.

Until they are all we have left.

Then we self loathe. And make excuses. And live the lie that is denial.

Because it’s easier than admitting we were wrong. Better than facing the truth.

That we CAN help who we fall in love with….we just don’t want to.
