And yes, I come across a bit crass and loud and hard to swallow. I’m not for everyone. And I guess that’s okay with me, because it allows me to pick and choose who I let inside.

However, once I let you in, I give everything I have to keep you there. I fight for you. For us. I trust too fast. Too hard. With too much passion. I forgive too soon. Too many times. And lose pieces of my soul each and every time I do.

I may seem rough and hard around the edges, but underneath I’m all heart.

Even if part of it is broken.
