I have a love affair with NYC.

I can lose myself in the hum of activity that wraps around you like an expensive cloak.

The people. The aromas. The faces of diversity. The colors that swirl past you like a snow globe tornado.

It is so magical it is almost painful to imagine leaving. It has so many layers. So many depths and so many hidden dreams just waiting to become discovered and claimed.

How can something so intense,  So beautiful,  be wrong?

This is the city of firsts for so many people.

First loves. First failures. First accomplishments. First tastes of freedom.

And all those experiences meld into the skyline. They dance and mingle in the air that hovers above the tallest skyscraper and they are inhaled and exhaled with every single breath it’s inhabitants take.

New York isn’t just a place.

It’s more than just a city.

It’s a living, breathing, all encompassing entity.

And if you let it…if you let your walls down just long enough to let it fall around you…let it dance across your fingers and sing melodies atop your lips..it will attach itself to your very soul.

And no matter where you go, or how far away you wander…once it’s inside of you?

It’s a part of you forever.
